Minnesota State Rep. Drazkowski Slams Rep. Ilhan Omar for Violence in Her District

State Rep. Steve Drazkowski (R-Mazeppa) joined Laura Ingraham on Fox News this week to discuss the rise in crime in Minneapolis, represented in Congress by Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN-05).

As The Minnesota Sun recently reported, the Minneapolis Police Department arrested members of a loosely-affiliated gang for a string of violent beatings throughout the city. Robberies in downtown Minneapolis are up 53 percent this year after 47 people were attacked during a 20-day stretch in August.

“It is disturbing, Laura, and it’s equally disturbing that Representative Omar isn’t concerned about her district. Instead, in her narcissistic behavior, is more concerned about deleting tweets and deleting the evidence about her marriage to her brother and the perjury that she has committed,” Drazkowski said during the interview.

He went on to claim that “downtown Minneapolis is in disarray,” a sentiment that a number of prominent local business owners have expressed.

“The police are loosing their support in the community, and the city council is actually thinking about disarming in the police in parts of Minneapolis. This was once a thriving community,” Drazkowski added.

Drazkowski said that Omar’s “supporting this type of behavior by not addressing it,” comparing video of the Minneapolis beatings to Antifa riots.

Towards the end of the interview, Drazkowski was asked about Omar’s deletion of a tweet that revealed her father’s name is Nur Said, the surname of her second husband and alleged brother.

“This is just a reaffirmation of much of the evidence we have that Nur Said is her father. It’s very clear she continues to hide her family from the media and from the public eye. If she brought them forward and if she truly wasn’t guilty of this, it would be very clear,” he said.

In response, Omar’s office continued to attack her critics, saying she didn’t delete the tweet for “the disturbing and hateful reasons that are being implied by conspiracy theorists.”
